Our coordinator will set up a call to discuss the program and learn more about your farm
The coordinator will work with the farmer to explain the program details and gather information to assess the fit for both parties
An email will be sent informing the farmer of enrollment decision

Farmers work with the coordinator to collect the following documents:
FSA Maps
Subsidiary report showing compliance with AD-1026 (this is filled out with your FSA agent)

Schedule an initial farm visit with coordinator
Farmer co-creates a
Climate-Smart Transition Plan
(CSTP) with coordinator
Decide what practices the farm would like to implement from a list of the following

Implement conservation practices as stated in CSTP
Participation and practice payments issued to farmer
Farmer will keep track of sales data and report quarterly to coordinator using a
spreadsheet like this one
Participate in field days/training

Farmer fills out verification forms with coordinator for each practice
Farmer takes soil samples with coordinator annually
CS Coordinator provides marketing assistance
Farmer shares story and markets their Climate-Smart products!
