Thoughtful Thought Partners
In all consulting and engagement work we do, we strive to be thoughtful thought partners. Whether a project involves exploring innovative uses of undeveloped land, increasing a town’s community resilience to flooding on a limited budget, or just helping others better understand principles of strategic planning or community engagement, the Working Landscapes team is ready to be a strong thought partner along the way. Warren County Housing Coalition
Thanks to the University of North Carolina’s Carolina Across 100 program, Working Landscapes is a proud member of the Warren County Housing Coalition. This cross-sector, public-private partnership is working together to develop an innovative, implementable plan to address issues of housing affordability, access, and sustainability in Warren County. Check back later this year for more information on our progress, including case studies and draft plans!
Food for Thought
Food For Thought is our after-school program – conducted in partnership with Durham’s Museum of Life and Science – for Warren County high school students. Through this program, our Food for Thought cohort members have hands-on opportunities through monthly workshops to learn about climate and agriculture, gain research skills, and develop public speaking and project management skills. Guest speakers for this program have included Heritage Quilters, Sound Rivers, and Warren County Cooperative Extension.
